Fifteen years as a street entertainer from 1980 - 1995 has knocked Rogers voice into shape, along with his confidence as a performer and musician.

He plays the guitar and mandola, both in a style of his own. He has been writing and performing his own songs for many years but since moving to Leicester in 1993, his music has taken an upturn.

He has recorded 4 albums: Orchestra of wishes, Ranting in Heaven, Fairytale Years and Space on Earth (with Chris Conway).

His CD's feature many fine musicians such as: Pete Morton, Vikki Clayton, Roger Wilson and Chris Conway, to name a few. Roger performs solo or as a band

Roger performs his own songs which are Celtic roots with world wide influences. He is also adept at singing Irish, English and American folk songs.

On August 30th 2009, after two years writing and preparation Roger's folk opera 'A Minstrels Tale' was stage at Leicester Cathedral to an audience of around 200 people. Much positive feedback followed.

Set in Leicester in 1660 'A
Minstrels Tale' is a bawdy tale of murder, mystery and intrigue. A tragedy with a happy ending. Including the sale of a wife in a market place, an occasional custom of the day. Being a folk opera, all dialogue is in song form. Roger played the part of the Minstrel, the narrator, who guides the audience through the tale.

In the past Roger has played a multitude of venues and festivals including Glastonbury and Leamington peace festival, Demontfort hall and all other leading venues in and around leicestershire. He and his music have ventured out, in the shape of tours of Germany and Austria and even as far as Sri Lanka.
